Vintage Design
Chair No. 14 was designed by Michael Thonet, the founder of Thonet, in 1859 and was one of Thonet’s most popular chairs alongside No. 18 (which has a “whole inner arch” in the backrest). This black chair dates from the 1970s and was produced by ZMG* Radomsko in Poland, a former Thonet factory nationalized after World War II. The seat has new hand-woven rattan webbing.
