Late 19th Century Meiji Period Cloisonne Charger Bamboo Garden and Pair of Cranes

The antique cloisonné charger created in the Meiji Period. The plate is decorated with a pair of cranes on weedy ground of a bamboo forest with flowers. A small red bird is seen flying nearby. The inner ring of the charger features abstract winged figures in lovely multi colors. The outer ring is brass. The reverse features a solid blue center with a larger outer ring of gold filigree on a blue enamel ground. Condition good to fair. Some enamel loss and wear appropriate for age of the item.

Measures approximately 12″ in diameter and will be delivered to you with a modern metal back attachment for wall hanging at your option.
