Vintage Design
Set of 2 NY chairs by Takeshi Nii, 1950s Japan. Minimalistic folding chairs with a chrome X-base, beech wood arm rests and reupholstered black canvas seat. The chair was named NY after the designer’s family name and meaning new in Danish. This chair has won many awards, including the Good Design Award from the Japan Institute of Design Promotion, the Long Life Design Award from the Japan Institute of Design Promotion and became a permanent feature in the MOMA collection. The chrome has some wear frome age and use. Chairs are in good vintage condition.
