Vintage Design
This set of two high-quality leather club sofas was designed by the Italian designer Gae Aulenti in 1976 as part of the lounge seating line for the Aulent Collection of Knoll International. The lacquered frames are made from extruded steel and the loose cushions are covered with leather. Originally both two-seater sofas were part of a studio set of a German TV show during the 1980s. The color of the steel frames and leather was professionally changed from maroon to a light grey tone in order to match with the TV studio’s set design. There are a few smaller paint damages on the lacquer’s surface but no damage to the steel itself. The leather is in very good condition. Both sofas give very good seating comfort. The easy chair is not included in this set.
