Vintage Design
Absolute stunning pair of 19th century nutwood Bergere chairs from the famous Biedermeier period in Vienna/ Austria around 1830. This remarkable set of rare Biedermeier armchairs has been elaborately restored in our restoration workshop. Impressing with elegantly shaped lines, these so-called “Bergere” chairs show an amazing looking mirror-matched walnut veneer work with outstanding grain. A traditional hand polished shellac finish reinforces the incredible look of the precious walnut surface. Newly upholstered with a light grey premium velvet, both armchairs provide a high quality spring core (still the original – revised) seating surface. Beside the exceptional design, these Biedermeier Bergeres don’t only look gorgeous, they are also super comfortable. An eye catching, rare pair of 19th century Biedermeier armchairs coming in perfect restored condition.
